Unfortunately, if you cancel your American Express credit card like I did, it means you cannot have access to certain services you may have taken for granted. Without that credit card, I was unable to join the local gym, to order t-shirts off of the Internet, to reserve a plane ticket online - and that is just a few of the basics. Not that many years ago, people preferred cash to credit, but not now.

All across the country and the world, people are using their Visa, Mastercard card, or American Express credit card to make purchases with money that they do not have of goods which they may not need. Using your American Express credit card may be convenient but there is a cost for the convenience of paying at a later date. In many places around the world, credit card debts are increasing at a worrying rate. It is not a lie when I say the credit card debts are the biggest worry facing the people in America.

I couldn’t think of any other alternative but to get rid of my American Express credit card. There was nothing to stop me because I wasn’t actually taking money from my pocket. I was using my card for just about everything, but I soon noticed the debts were mounting. Panic kicked in when I found I could no longer pay the debt.

The debt refinancing service I turned to were my best hope and I managed to get the debt repayment under control. To say the situation had become a nightmare would be a gross understatement. After considering this I decide to get rid of my American Express credit card at least for the present.
